The Refineful project began with a previous soap brand called Lips for Jamaica. Anne-Marie Watt came to our NY logo design agency with the need for a rebrand of her soap company. The company had several different names for the soap. These include Lips for Jamaica and Lips for South Africa. The idea behind each soap collection was to give a portion of the proceeds to these countries that have high poverty rates.
As part of the solution for the new logo, we also renamed the company. The name we came up was “Refineful,” a combination of the words “Refiner” and “Fuller.” Anne-Marie’s vision behind her soap making company is to eliminate poverty with each sale. The verse above is the inspiration behind the brand. Refine- looks to the poverty and affliction aspect, and -ful comes from the word fuller, whose job is to whiten and cleanse. Thus the name Refineful.
This project is the final soap logo design for the Refineful brand by our branding and logo design agency. The font we chose is Assemblage, however it has been modified to work with the logo. The icon is a modern variation on a flame, yet abstract to work for the brand which sells to both men and women.
